The service to succeed the
KGB after the fall of the
USSR in 1991. But the structure took the best workmen and much of the hardware over. Due to strong inclination of the stuff to the old theories and trends an other reformation followed. Few years later the SVR RF (Foreign intelligence service of Russian Federation) was founded.
