American spy, active for USSR
He offered his duties to the KGB in Berlin in 1952 during his time in the US Army. As a military courier in Paris, he monitored the correspondence and had stolen empty forms which were used to deliver false messages and pretty heat up the relations between the allies. Johnson also handed over data about the US Army encryption system. He was convicted in 1965 and was jailed for 25 years. But he was stabbed dead by his son, a Vietnam veteran, during a visit in prison in 1972.Recommended books:
