Being disgusted by the communism he handed information to the West. Not only nobody noticed that, he was even proposed to be the Communistic Party chairman after W.Ulbricht. A defection of an agent threatened his position and even the whole GO network. First, he didn't believe this, but after being offered a high post in the West German government he fled.Recommended books:
