Powers Francis Gary

Shot down on 1st May 1960 nearby Svedlovsk during a espionage flight on a U-2 plane heading form Peshavar, Pakistan to Bodo, Norway. That caused serious row and the recall of a hopeful meeting in Paris. Powers was send to prison, but he was exchanged for R.Abel in 1963. After his return he was accused of not destroying the plane and himself, but later he was even decorated. He died in LA in 1977 in a TV station helicopter accident.
