Strongly controlled by the KGB, many advisors placed in the whole intelligence system. That led to creating very good services. Strong control of the citizens and typical support for the Communistic party. The StB used harsh and cruel methods to maintain their position.
Several changes after the year 1989, but many of the StB agents were able to hold their positions.
