Syria

After the state founding after the end of Second World War the Army Intelligence Service took the leading role. After the revolution in 1949 the army itself had the command in its hands. After joining Egypt their services began to cooperate. Mainly the affairs of Israel, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan have been watched. After the release of the union in 1971 the service began to stalk the enemies of Hafis Asad. Beside of that they continued to proceed their actions in Israel. Syria supports terrorism and the deployment of agents in Europe is also known. Completing their needs of watching, they keep their eyes on the Mediterranean and Middle East regions.
